Recently, I celebrated 2 years of living on a carnivore diet! Initially, I had planned to follow this meat-based diet for just one week. However, one week turned into 30 days and then 90 days. I realized that once you have experienced the benefits of such a healthy diet, it's hard to go back to your old ways. How can you drink from the Fountain of Youth (and Health) and then say “I've had enough.”? The answer is- you don't.

After having surgery to both of my hips in my 30s and having significant and limiting pain years later, I was desperate for a non-prescription, non-surgical fix. When I read that joint pain was possibly the #1 improved symptom of people doing this diet, I gave up plants the very next meal.

I continually strive to improve my ability to interpret studies and spot the ones in which the authors are looking to prove a point instead of answering a question. I also like reading books related to health and nutrition written for laypeople.

Require your spouse or other household members to do it.
Have an all-or-nothing approach. Yes, you can have plants if you desire because there are several ways to do a meat-based diet.
Neglect to learn about how to do a carnivore diet. (I can’t stress learning enough.)
